About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in London. This is a key position responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to financial operations.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK accounting standards

• Oversee general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes

• Lead budgeting and forecasting activities

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors and HMRC

• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes

• Implement and maintain internal financial controls

• Assist with financial planning and cost control strategies

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance

• In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws, accounting principles, and financial regulations

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent organisational and communication abilities

• Experience working in a fast-paced or dynamic business environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industries such as retail, manufacturing, or SaaS

• Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau for financial dashboards

• Public accounting background (Big 4 or mid-tier firm)
